Not (just) a clumsy segue from the last post, but an attempt to break away from the dreariness of a London winter. Missing sunny (baking hot) Sydney just a little…..
Last month, I was invited to document the rehearsals for a new production a good friend of mine was producing and directing. Not sure what to expect, I headed down to UCL and was led deep down into the bowels of the creepily gothic Cruciform Building to meet the artists, Robin Storey and Johanna Devi. Typical of a uni lecture theatre, the stage was cramped, the lighting was awkward and none of the AV plugs fitted into the available ports (not ideal when the show involves video projections!). Pros that they are, the three creative principals didn’t let that deter them, while I tried to be as unobtrusive as possible…..
Welcome to maxabroad § photography!
So, I’ve finally taken the plunge and joined the blogosphere. There’s quite a lot of back-filling to do (500Gb in fact), so while I patiently await the arrival of 2 more terabytes’ processing space (c’mon play.com!!), this might just be the perfect time to dip into the archives.
Since it might take awhile to catch up, here’s a sneak peak – fuller entries to follow soon, I promise!
Thanks for visiting and hope to see you again soon!
